Recent job in Ringwood East. Very impressed with EGD. We got a quote for a door on our carport over a year ago. The price was reasonable but we decided to prioritise a few other home renovations at the time. We were impressed with how quickly a quote was arranged and the interactions we had with their team. After recovering we decided to give them a call and see if they would honour the previous quote, despite the time elapsed. As we had done a little bit of prep work ourselves, they actually quoted us a bit cheaper as that work was no longer required. We thought this showed a lot of integrity. The door was sized up delivered and installed within a few weeks. All done in about an hour. No mess left and we are so happy with how it looks. Thanks to all at EGD!

I arrived home about five minutes after the Eastern Garage Doors man arrived. He was sitting in his van and said he had already assessed the door and that the whole thing (motor, door, frame, the lot) had to be replaced. He showed me where the door had been scraping on the timber frame. I explained that I had planed the timber myself and the door was not actually touching the frame. He said the timber frame was loose and had to be replaced - fixed by simply tightening a bolt.He said the motor was old and should be replaced. It is less than two years old.The quote to repair was over $1,100, but all it needed was to be turned off for 30 minutes and re-set. Now working perfectly.

My garage door was going up and down all on its own so I calledEastern Garage Doors and spoke with a very friendly and knowledgeable lady who organized a technician for the following day. I was kept up to date with his name and time of arrival. He knew exactly what he was doing and fixed the problem. My door now works beautifully again.

Honest and reliable. I got a quote for a new motor and booked someone to come for an installation. The techinician who came was honest enough to advise me the motor just needs a new gear. I still ended up getting a new motor from Eastern because the manufacturer of my old motor quoted a ridiculous price for just a gear replacement. I am very happy with my new Merlin set.

00:38 24 Jun 26

Joe and Tom replaced the broken springs on our apartment block basement garage door. They arrived on time, were very cognisant of residents needing to exit their vehicles and serviced the door system. They spotted 2 broken hinges and fortunately had them on-hand and replaced the broken hinges at the same time. All in all an excellent cost effective outcome. We have used EGD experienced staff previously and will continue to do so moving forwards

I had a broken spring repaced by these guys. It is seldom that I have experienced such good service in recent times. Their office is courteous and efficient, the guys replacing the springs did an excellent job. They keep you informed and do what they promise. I have dealt with other providers in the past, these guys are head and shoulders better.

I originally was impressed. The salesman explained everything so I understood and the installer did a great job. About 12 months later I had a problem with my security door so I rang to ask how I could try and fix it or whether it was covered under the warranty. I was told it must be movement of the house (house is 12 years old so it’s not) or I pay $95 call out fee. If it’s not under warranty I just wanted to know (in layman’s terms) how to adjust. This experience put a real damper on the great one I had at time of purchase

06:35 29 Jan 26

Our experience of dealing with Eastern Garage Doors was brilliant. They are so easy to deal with... from the super enthusiastic Tom who visited and provided the quotation, to the lovely Georgia in the office who organized the installation date, to the team who came and put our new door in (and took the old door away). They were all efficient, knowledgeable, professional and polite. A real pleasure to deal with. We could not recommend Eastern Garage Door enough!

I got 4 quotes on my front gate controller and all the other companies didn't even bother coming and said I needed to buy an entire new gate system. John was great, he came to quote and spent a good half hour trying to determine the fault. After determining it was most likely the controller he quoted on replacing that first, before having to change the gate arms too (which would have been a new system). Controller worked and the cost was a quarter of the cost of a new system. It's refreshing to see that there are still good, honest tradesmen out there. Thanks John and the team at Eastern Garage Doors.

They are incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable about what they do, and their responses are impressively fast. Before finding this store, I had my garage door installed by another company, and I truly regret it. Yesterday my garage door collapsed due to broken drum. Tried 4 places to get quotes, 2 responded immediately and friendly. Sent both very detailed photos of damages and gave measurements of door and drum diameters to avoid multiple trips hence cost. Eastern Garage was chosen for earlier attendance to repairs. Fixed this morning with minimum of fuss and was a clean job. Tradesmen friendly and not time wasting. Very highly recommended! Thank you Eastern Garage Door, Georgia and Tom.
