Speak to our team before releasing a faulty door

A manual release disengages the opener from the door. The safe procedure depends on the exact model and the condition of the door, springs and other supporting parts.

Stop using the door if it is damaged, crooked, unusually heavy or moving unpredictably. Keep people and vehicles clear. You may check remote batteries, clear loose obstructions from a stationary doorway and gently clean accessible safety-sensor lenses. Do not release the opener, lift a faulty door by hand, adjust hardware or change settings. Contact Eastern Garage Doors on (03) 9812 3062 for help.

For a power outage with an otherwise sound door, contact us for guidance on the instructions supplied for your exact opener. Do not use a manual release as a test for a suspected mechanical fault, and do not use instructions for a different model.

Please note, while we will endeavour to get out to you as soon as possible, we do not offer 24/7 emergency repairs.
