General

Performance & Suitability – Perfect for residential & light commercial use with limited daily cycles. Under typical conditions (e.g. 6 hours of sunlight per day on the Australian East Coast), you can expect around 20 cycles per day with one set of 772ANZ Safety Beams Connected. Actual performance depends on sunlight availability, gate condition, connected accessories and environmental factors. Refer to the manual for detailed performance calculations & suitability to your location.
Installation Tips & Site Selection – To get the best performance from your Solar Kit, consider panel placement. Install the solar panel where it gets full sunlight – ideally facing due North. Avoid shaded or obstructed areas, as this will reduce charging efficiency. It is important to keep the solar panel close to the power supply enclosure, and ensure the enclosure is within reach of your gate opener.
Choosing the Right Setup – Solar performance depends on your location, sunlight hours, and how often the gate is used. Some setups may need two solar panels for reliable operation – especially in areas with less sun or higher usage. During long periods of low sunlight, you may need to recharge the system using the AC charging adaptor (included).

Recent job in Ringwood East. Very impressed with EGD. We got a quote for a door on our carport over a year ago. The price was reasonable but we decided to prioritise a few other home renovations at the time. We were impressed with how quickly a quote was arranged and the interactions we had with their team. After recovering we decided to give them a call and see if they would honour the previous quote, despite the time elapsed. As we had done a little bit of prep work ourselves, they actually quoted us a bit cheaper as that work was no longer required. We thought this showed a lot of integrity. I arrived home about five minutes after the Eastern Garage Doors man arrived. He was sitting in his van and said he had already assessed the door and that the whole thing (motor, door, frame, the lot) had to be replaced.He showed me where the door had been scraping on the timber frame. I explained that I had planed the timber myself and the door was not actually touching the frame.He said the timber frame was loose and had to be replaced - fixed by simply tightening a bolt.He said the motor was old and should be replaced. It is less than two years old.The quote to repair was over $1,100, but all it needed was to be turned off for 30 minutes and re-set. Now working perfectly.

I originally was impressed. The salesman explained everything so I understood and the installer did a great job. About 12 months later I had a problem with my security door so I rang to ask how I could try and fix it or whether it was covered under the warranty. I was told it must be movement of the house (house is 12 years old so it’s not) or I pay $95 call out fee. If it’s not under warranty I just wanted to know (in layman’s terms) how to adjust. This experience put a real damper on the great one I had at time of purchase

I got 4 quotes on my front gate controller and all the other companies didn't even bother coming and said I needed to buy an entire new gate system. John was great, he came to quote and spent a good half hour trying to determine the fault. After determining it was most likely the controller he quoted on replacing that first, before having to change the gate arms too (which would have been a new system). Controller worked and the cost was a quarter of the cost of a new system. It's refreshing to see that there are still good, honest tradesmen out there. Another great experience with Eastern Garage Doors. Previously had a motor fixed promptly. This time, a spring randomly broke when we put the door down on Sunday night and upon calling the next day, we booked to get it fixed with in the next 24 hours. Joe who did the repair was punctual, friendly and finished in time for me to get to work. Thank you so much for a smooth and prompt repair, much appreciated ☺️

I was so very happy with the service provided by Eastern Garage Doors. My roller door had stopped working and I phoned a few companies only to be put on hold and not giving me a quote or any reassurance about fixing my problem. THEN I luckily phoned Eastern Garage Doors. I was pleasantly greeted with a lovely friendly voice ( Emily I think) who reassured me, gave me a quote and arranged Darren to come out within the hour. My door motor was repaired by replacement within 24 hours of contacting Eastern Garage Doors. Office staff were most helpful to provide costs and arrange a technician to attend as soon as possible. Technician appeared within the times given and his workmanship looks good. He was helpful in explaining the new remotes. Overall, Eastern Garage Doors were a pleasure to deal with. Recommended.
