Terms & Conditions

To keep your garage door and opener performing at their best, regular maintenance is key. We recommend an annual service starting from the date of purchase to ensure smooth operation and long-term reliability. Servicing is required at years 3 & 5 to maintain your opener’s warranty. For full warranty details, please refer to the final page of your owner’s manual.

350kg door rating is based on having installation of Safety IR Beams.

The myQ App is compatible with Apple devices operating on the three latest versions of iOS. Apple Watch requires watchOS 9 or higher, and Android devices must be running Android 7.1 Nougat or higher. Windows devices are not supported.

Please note that as new versions of the myQ App are released, older versions of iOS and Android operating systems may no longer be compatible.

Recent job in Ringwood East. Very impressed with EGD. We got a quote for a door on our carport over a year ago. The price was reasonable but we decided to prioritise a few other home renovations at the time. We were impressed with how quickly a quote was arranged and the interactions we had with their team. After recovering we decided to give them a call and see if they would honour the previous quote, despite the time elapsed. As we had done a little bit of prep work ourselves, they actually quoted us a bit cheaper as that work was no longer required. We thought this showed a lot of integrity. I arrived home about five minutes after the Eastern Garage Doors man arrived. He was sitting in his van and said he had already assessed the door and that the whole thing (motor, door, frame, the lot) had to be replaced.He showed me where the door had been scraping on the timber frame. I explained that I had planed the timber myself and the door was not actually touching the frame.He said the timber frame was loose and had to be replaced - fixed by simply tightening a bolt.He said the motor was old and should be replaced. It is less than two years old.The quote to repair was over $1,100, but all it needed was to be turned off for 30 minutes and re-set. Now working perfectly.

I originally was impressed. The salesman explained everything so I understood and the installer did a great job. About 12 months later I had a problem with my security door so I rang to ask how I could try and fix it or whether it was covered under the warranty. I was told it must be movement of the house (house is 12 years old so it’s not) or I pay $95 call out fee. If it’s not under warranty I just wanted to know (in layman’s terms) how to adjust. This experience put a real damper on the great one I had at time of purchase

I got 4 quotes on my front gate controller and all the other companies didn't even bother coming and said I needed to buy an entire new gate system. John was great, he came to quote and spent a good half hour trying to determine the fault. After determining it was most likely the controller he quoted on replacing that first, before having to change the gate arms too (which would have been a new system). Controller worked and the cost was a quarter of the cost of a new system. It's refreshing to see that there are still good, honest tradesmen out there. My door motor was repaired by replacement within 24 hours of contacting Eastern Garage Doors. Office staff were most helpful to provide costs and arrange a technician to attend as soon as possible. Technician appeared within the times given and his workmanship looks good. He was helpful in explaining the new remotes. Overall, Eastern Garage Doors were a pleasure to deal with. Recommended.

Yesterday my garage door collapsed due to broken drum. Tried 4 places to get quotes, 2 responded immediately and friendly. Sent both very detailed photos of damages and gave measurements of door and drum diameters to avoid multiple trips hence cost. Eastern Garage was chosen for earlier attendance to repairs. Fixed this morning with minimum of fuss and was a clean job. Tradesmen friendly and not time wasting. Very highly recommended! Thank you Eastern Garage Door, Georgia and Tom.
